Tough Love

We undeniably became each other’s crutch

and when I asked for space,

your reaction showed enough

Suicidal thoughts, pain resurfacing,

abandonment issues like a triggering potion

This was tough love in motion.

Innerstand that I love you

and my loyalty won’t let me leave

But this part of our journey,

separation is needed indeed.

Desperately trying to receive my attention

Its no longer yours to keep.

Not to mention those post, those tweets

Don’t make me mute you from my life,

I promise that’s not where you want to be.

This is supposed to be our time to grow

Individually, getting to know yourself so that when we reunite

It feels so good to talk again,

Looking in your eyes and getting lost again

Relearning, feeling raw and zen

We remember the love was never lost

Our paths realign for us to walk.

The truth hurts.

Yet, the truth remains

Unchanged,

not phased by temporary emotion

Real devotion is rolling with erosion

Landing,

Growing.

They say love hurts, love pains

I say love is only real, love is truth

So it is you that must change.

If you are unhappy, not satisfied

Look at love from Gods eye,

Remember love is in unity, so make peace with your heart, body, and mind.
