When it comes to your healing, you are the initiator, the pioneer, and the master piece. Every level of growth is feasible because you allow self transformation to occur.

“Healing is not linear. It is a journey of ups and downs, as art is not always definitive, neither is a healing journey.”
"The teachings I have received from life thus far are in direct alignment with my soul's purpose." This affirmation allows a timeless access to knowledge from all your life's experience with the innerstanding of its alignment to your soul's purpose. It is crucial to acknowledge the many reasons of your being, every so often you should pay homage to the moments that have catapulted you to the now. Our planet's movement is cyclic and constant based off it's alignment in the Universe. Changes occur often due to its inhabitory state, ie. us. If we never gave thanks to the moments huge discoveries were made it would all seem as if it is happening and never happened at the same time. It would all cancel out and nothing would be gained or loss. But once we accept, maybe even embrace our lives we would be able to move forward, gracefully.
As said before the planet's movement is cyclic and constant, in other words life keeps going. With or without you physically being here, life keeps going. Luckily if you haven't experienced a moment where life goes on, I am telling you from first-hand experience, even in your darkest hours where you physically cannot move.. the world is ever-changing. When you feel like you are on top of the world, great success, everything you've ever wanted is present with you.. the world is still moving on in its greater evolution.
Some get stuck in that loop of "time is not on my side", "the world will leave you behind" and although, there is truth to it because these are universal components of life that no one man has access to control. Perspective is subjective, imagine if you thought of the world's constant movement as your own pace of change. Auntie Jill said, "there's power in the rolling hills". My innerstanding of the symbolic words "rolling hills" is the spiral of change that occurs inevitably throughout life, internally as well as, externally. The power is in finding the courage to accept the changes, and in a way most natural to you becoming the change and/or catalyst.
Becoming the initiator of your own change is the first step of welcoming your own healing. Invite change at your own apparel! Do this whenever you feel called for a shift in your life. You can do this by affirming what change you'd like to occur, or recite this affirmation "I invite change into my life for the ultimate good."

Sitting in a room with two of my closest friends, we expressed joy from realizing our artistic expression. The healing that occurs when you finally feel free enough to share your art, your voice, your experience with those around you it's truly orgasmic.
I find power in using my voice, in written expression. Words are healing.
What are some ways you get inspired? How do you share your truth with the world around you?

At Creative Suitland Arts Center, we watched this documentary, followed by group discussion. We were discussing the relation between drug use and artists, more specifically Basquiat's relation between art and drug use it brought me to this point. Most recreational uses of drugs have developed into a form of escapism. Escapism is not a form of healing.
Art is so important because it serves as an outlet, a form of expression, an exercise to transmute energy into something more tangible like a painting, or a sculpture. Creating art is the epitome of a healthy healing mechanism. For many of us, if our calling isn't colored markers, it is a pen to exercise emotion or truth. This process of transmutation can be addicting, since we at our cores, are creators. We as humans, recognize and repeat cycles, therefore if you are rolling up before every art session, your mind will recognize that as something you like during your creative process. Thus, the relation of drug use and art is intertwined. This is just one aspect of the two in comparison and it's normalcy is not to be overlooked. Some artist form dependency on drugs and it ends up inhibiting their creations, or their overall well-being. Basquiat, is a legend for his work but the prime example of how drugs can impact your overwell well-being.
Art is healing. It is where so many of us transmute pain into beauty, rage into passion, darkness into colour. It is where we express our cells. We become the bridges from our inner world to the external world. Which is why I can't blame an artist who gets sensitive about their art, you're stepping on their backs to form your opinions.
Ultimately, there is power in expression. There is power in perspective. There is power in healing. There is power in change. There is power in the rolling hills.
