Wombyn on a Mission: Yahs Blessing at Malcolm X Park

For those of you who don't know already, Yahs Blessings is non profit organization in the Washington D.C., Prince George's county, Maryland area. On a mission to cultivate healing, reform community, and assist with financial stability for our melanated majority.

Truth be told, it is difficult maintaining as a black man, or woman in a society built on social superiority construct. The game is designed for us to struggle before reaping even the smallest benefits of living here. Yahs Blessings serves to make the living process easier with connectivity to our communities, genuine care for collective growth, and ultimate faith in the Most High within ourselves, and in you too.

Yahs Blessings has a vision of becoming the first housing shelter in Prince George’s county. A facility dedicated to support and uplift melanated families. Designed to be a home, a safe haven along their journeys to salvation.

Our current mission is to provide information to those in need of housing, collect and distribute essential resources to the unhoused, offer spiritual advisory, and spark joy in your lives!

In our past fundraisers we've been able to raise hundreds of dollars and collect over 30 bags of shoes! All of which has been turned into even greater resources and distributed to the homeless throughout the city and across the globe.

Our current Gofundme will contribute to the success of Yahs Blessings, so long as we continue to share our passions with you! So tune in because we will be curating eventful fundraisers to make progress towards our goal. Including yoga sessions led by our youth leader, Mikael on Sunday's at 4pm at Malcolm X Park. Any donations made will go towards Yahs Blessings.

Malcolm X Park, also known as Meridian Hill Park is located in Northwest D.C. This place is such a monumental park because of our rich history. We join the circle on Sunday's to commemerate, dance, network, and support local artists and businesses.

As an organization curated by the divine feminine, we find fulfillment in nurturing this organization to its full potential. So far, we are an all female staff. Evolution requires us to place ourselves in the sustainable village that is at Malcolm X Park. The support from the elders to the children, the range of inclusion when tourist from cross countries open their hearts to our mission it is all so important to our journey as a developing organization.

At our table we have handmade jewelry, cloths, and other goodies, all profits go toward the organization. Yah's Blessings focuses on the financial upbringing and spiritual restoration in the melanated majority so please share any questions, resources, and information that may help our mission!
